Wilbur and Anastasia were rescued from a northern California equine "sanctuary" and rescue. The shelter had to stop its operations and animal control intervened to take custody of the horses and other animals...including two pigs, Wilbur and Anastasia.
Wilbur lived in a 20x30 dirt lot, while Anastasia languished in a 10x15' pen. They have spent years in these small enclosures.
This is the story of their rescue and liberation to green pastures and more space than they have ever known.

Pigs are so gentle and happy-go-lucky. They deserve a better world. I wish we had never evolved to become the tormentors we are.

I hate when people say pigs are messy and stupid I had pet pigs for several years and they are the smartest animals I have ever seen and they never once pooed in their sleeping area They only poo in their sleeping area when people lock them up in crates with very little space to move around

I am not a man that smiles much but I smiled all through this . It was beautiful .

No one understands pigs are more than just "bacon". They are the most gentle and generous animals you can have. I love this and seeing the smile on their face.

Literally can't watch this without crying

Pigs are adorable.

I wish all pigs and animals can enjoy being free and happy in their true natural form

Bless these sweethearts, thank-you so much for helping them. Vegan for compassion and health reasons, animals do not belong in tiny stalls their whole lives, without being able to move. All of life is precious.

So beautiful, they're so gentle and just want to be happy sniffing around!

If people could just see the world through their eyes, no human being would be able to eat them then, would want only happiness and safety for them.
-
So nice to see them enjoying a sunny day hope they have a happy life.

Pigs are intelligent and sensitive creatures. I became a vegetarian and don't regret a minute of it.
