Lol, the fact that "build a shelf" is the response after "that's classist of you, not everyone can afford a shelf" tells me you guys haven't been down the lumber end of a hardware store in a while π€£ I've been listening to my carpenter husband complain how much it costs to have materials on hand for like 3 years now.

i love how deadpan your girlfriend's humor is. never really one to go over the top (which i love and is me) or even break the mood of what she's saying, but you can still tell she's clearly joking. committing to the bit is important in humor. i respect it.
