Join me on a beautiful hike through the lush enchanted rainforest of Olympic National Park in Washington State. I do a loop that takes me to the amazing Sol Duc Falls. See my campsite at the Sol Duc Campgrounds inside the park.

Always love your eye for the tiny details that so many of us just walk by during a hike....the raindrop on a leaf, the spider's web in the sunlight, the natural symmetry of mushrooms on a tree trunk.....beautifully done once again 🙂
  • @erict5878
Catherine, I have literally watched your talent grow for a couple years. What you are producing now FAR EXCEDES even just a year ago! Your shot angles the background music fits perfectly with the surroundings . The attention to details and sounds....even footsteps across a wooden bridge and raindrops on leaves, due on a spiderweb and moss on tree stumps. You are a true artist! I so appreciate you helping us experience the places we can not go ( yet ). Sadly the smoke from the west coast fires have reached Europe ( even Germany) and containment is minimal. Thanks for all your hard work. It gives those of us that are still in lock down areas and longing to be in the backcountry peace and hope of better days.

The smoke is a bummer. But, like you said, so insignificant for those who are having property destroyed. They need our prayers. 🙏
  • I love how you mix the natural sounds in with the background music. Such a nice relaxing video! Thank you!
  • @erikasmith2885
The quality of this video is UNREAL! I could just play it on a loop for a home - spa day! Perfect music overplayed with nature's sounds 👌💗

Not any better way for me to have breakfast than outside in nature that you provided with this video. It took me away and lifted me up. Thanks again for your talent.
  • @DadBodDrumming
Beautiful scenery. My favorite part was the steam coming off the wooden bridge.
  • PRICELESS video, Catherine. God has given you a touch of EXCELLANCE in what your are doing in your videos. I pray that you'll be able to KEEP doing these "Treasured pieces of art" that they ARE long into your (OUR) future.
  • @GraceHappens
The trees seem old and wise in this forest. Beautiful.
  • I have hiked the High Divide area many times since 1982. I took my 17-year old grandson there this time of year last year. A lot more people than previous decades. Still a most beautiful experience.

Waterfalls are like memories that cascade through the chasms of time. One of my favorite destinations when hiking.

I enjoy the fact that you are a photographer with an artistic eye. It really shows and comes through in your videos. It's nice to see videos that are not just someone with a camera. Instead you know how to use it.
  • Absolutely BEAUTIFUL! I have loved all the videos I have viewed from your channel thus far Catherine but, I really liked this hike the best of all. Thank you so very much for inviting us along the trail. So tranquil, so lovely!

It really is an enchanted forest. So many beautiful places to explore on the Olympic Peninsula. Great photos and video. Loved seeing the sun sparkle on the water. Love the smell of that forest after a good rain.

I love the rainforest in Olympic National Park. Several years ago I went to the Hoh Rainforest, and I think my friend took me to Sul Duc as well. We stayed at Lake Quinalt and further up north at Kalaloch Beach resort. It was unforgettable.
