It sure seems to me like she is channeling some kind of hurt. The feeling behind her voice feels just too real for her to be singing "just some words". It seems like she definitely feels what she is singing. We have no idea what this girl has or hasn't gone through. Remember that. You NEVER know what the person next to you is going through. Seeing the almost scowl come over her during certain parts as she sang was amazing. There is so much depth & pain in this song & she surely is channeling something as she sings it. What a song for an 11 year old to feel something to… Absolutely incredible job.

This song just always hit me different...no clue why but always loved it. First time I heard it I was prob 17 which was about 20 yrs ago!!! WHERE HAS TIME GONE MY PEOPLE!?!? How are you aware that she hasn’t been through it. It said that music can touch the soul. She chose to sing this song for a reason, the way the world is now, no one really ever knows what a person is going through good or bad. Let’s not assume, but appreciate the voice is speaking from the heart. I pray she is doing well.
