i lost my best friend to cancer last year, melanie was her favorite singer and now i have a feeling that she is singing this song to me like she is back from the death, it hurts like hell, but that's life.

The fact that this song starts with the word ‘death’ and Womb starts with ‘life’ is such a cool detail

I have to admit, the character she uses is both terrifying, unsettling, and the most mythical thing i've ever seen. I'm so proud of the development you've gone through Melanie. It makes me so happy to see just how far you've come. Thank you, for everything

Melanie keeps outdoing herself EVERYTIME ! The visuals, the creativity, the storyline, the vocals, the immaculate vibes etc etc So proud of you !

I searched it up, and this means she's back, but she's changed. So therefore metaphorically, her old self has 'died' and now she's back from the 'dead'. Her years of being inactive from Singing has changed her, and gave her a new perspective of life. This is a message to the fans that she's back, and ready to Slay again 💅

Is it just me or is this like the perfect song for her comeback??? A song that's topic is being back from the dead and being alive again is just so perfect for her comeback from her break. SO GOOD AS ALWAYS, MELANIE!!!!

Melanie comes out with this a month after my little sister passes from a car wreck. I hope she knows how much she heals through her art, because I just cried to these lyrics and laughed because this is what my sister would totally say to me. She’s not dead, she’s just transformed.

I want to take a moment and talk about this new era of Melanie's. First off I want to say Melanie hasn't "changed". Melanie is the same person she's always been, her character Cry Baby has just evolved. Second the music this era is maybe the most authentic music we've gotten from Melanie as it is self produced. If you simply don't like the new sound/look that is completely fine, you can go back and listen to/watch the songs from her previous albums, they aren't gone. Been listening to the perils of Crybaby since I was 14 (I’m 22 now). Don’t think I’ve ever cried this hard over the loss of a character, this song captures the grieving of Crybaby and the joy of her rebirth. Even though I’m heartbroken I’m overjoyed, it’s such a beautiful complexity of emotions. Crybaby eased the pain of my youth, and she will continue to in the next life. Truly a phenomenal song and I cannot wait to hear the album in its entirety! 🫶🫶🫶💗💗💗

As a writer, I appreciate how Mel designs all her songs around the character, Crybaby. This whole experience has been one huge story. With that said, I think it’s interesting and important to note that Mel released a short promo video showing Crybaby’s grave and released this song before her album drops on the 31. Crybaby has clearly died, opening up a whole new adventure in the storyline. Freaking genius!!!❤
