Erik proclaiming “happy” at the end was the most wholesome, sweetest thing. You’re both such a joy and comfort to me and I feel the exact same after listening to a podcast of you two ❤️🥹
  • So fun! Erik's Dad should be the official fact checker for RELAX😂
  • Can we just appreciate how adorable it is that for YEARSSS they have been buying what they believed the other person would have liked more because they wanted too so the other one would be happy

You can relax, Colleen and Erik have a podcast. With three young kids we have date-night at home, just us and these big microphones. You can relax that's the name of our podcast!

I just have to say, Erik calling the font Times New Roman "Times Roman Numeral"...amazing 😅

The cup of noodles debate: I absolutely boil water in my kettle and pour it in the cup. It says DO NOT MICROWAVE because it is Styrofoam.

I went back and watched Erik say “happy!” Five times 😂😂 that was so funny and sincere. I love the camera setup- and Colleen definitely needs a chair that she loves and feels cozy in!
  • The reason you are so surprised that the cup noodles are not supposed to be microwaved despite having a fill line is because, outside of the USA, the rest of the world has electric kettles that boil water quickly. We boil the kettle (it takes 1 minute) and then pour the boiling water up to the fill line. This alone cooks the noodles within a few minutes. I'm from the UK and find it bizarre that Americans use microwaves to boil water!

No way Erik just said “times Roman numeral” when talking about book intros💀💀 he definitely meant “times new Roman” I’m sobbing😭😭😭😭😭😭

seeing you two so in sync with each other and so kind and gentle with each others emotions makes me get all teary eyed. watching your love story unwind has been one of the best things i have ever seen, i feel so lucky to know you guys. i am so happy for you guys. i hope to be half as good as you two are as i age. love you always.
  • I'm so happy to have this podcast back. My husband passed away unexpectedly at 41 ...5 years ago this month and this podcast helps me see some of us in you guys somehow lol
  • @rifarahat5118
You guys truly are the powercouple. With you both cheering and rooting for one another even through hard times really proves how much you guys are meant for each other. Looking forward for the next episode! Also i love this week's setup

My husband would always save the heels of the bread for me because he figured I loved the heels like he did. Finally, after seeing only the heels left over (this was after our kids grew up and left the house because they would eat the heels) several times in our loaves of bread in the plastic bag, he asked me why I wasn't eating the heels. I said, "I hate the heels, why would I eat the heels of a loaf when I always cut off the edges of a piece of bread for myself?" Then he said, "I love the heels and I always saved them for you because I thought you liked them too - and they always disappeared" "Well the kids must have been eating them because it wasn't me." This was after at least 22 years of marriage.

I watched the part where Erik says “happeee” like 20 times 😂 reminded me so much of the character “Baymax” from the movie Big Hero 6 😂❤️ so funny!
  • @bexparslow
All the cup noodles I’ve ever eaten (in the UK) instruct to pour boiling water into it! Microwaving it must release bad chemicals😅

It's really nice to see the relationship between you two. Also, nice to hear Erik talk about his dad. Obviously Erik's dad was a good role model, making Erik the dad he is today. The relationship Colleen has with her parents, all the crafts, etc. has shown in Colleen's parenting. It's just nice to see families like yours exist, generation after generation. Family is the most important in life & time just goes by way too quickly! Thank you for sharing & being the role models you are. May God bless you all real good! 🥰

I legit always thought after Covid the lyrics should change to “you can relax, Colleen and Erik have a podcast, the worlds still scary so we’re staying at home, here with our big microphones. You can relax, that’s the name of the podcast.”
  • I think the book covers are called dust jackets? Correct me if I'm wrong.
