It feels so great knowing that you are Canadian Aly! You’re such a wealth of knowledge and you do us proud when you post vlogs such as this one. You would make a wonderful Ambassador for Canada and I happen to think you are a national treasure! Btw, your editing is remarkable! 🇨🇦♥️

I have driven & stayed at all those places - but then I lived outside of Calgary. & my daughter lived in Banff & Canmore (the best) Next time you are out west visit Emerald Lake- beautiful in summer & winter when the snowflakes are falling.
  • @dknana123
I would suggest staying in Canmore, just 15 minutes east. Great condos with twice the space for half the price.

Radium is a low key awesome recommendation. Yes, it requires a moderately long drive to get there and if I'm being honest I didn't find much to do when I stayed in Radium (although it was a very nice and peaceful stay) beyond the hot spring itself. But the drive there is simply amazing as well and worth it just on it's own so long as you don't mind the drive. I would recommend staying overnight as you can get a nice place to stay for considerably less than Banff town and then get a nice early start the next day. Oh, Screamers Ice Cream is awesome hehe. I've done the Athabasca glacier tour and skywalk. It was pretty cool to be on a glacier but it takes a huge amount of time out of your day. I would definitely skip the skywalk and use that time to visit something else like Edith Cavell or Pyramid Lake or Valley of the Five Lakes or pretty much anything else really.

My family and I just got back from Banff for a 5 day trip. We got so lucky with the weather! 65 and sunny every day. We actually stayed in Canmore as I found it probably at least 1/3 cheaper than Banff and so close to Banff it was easy to drive. It was also a little more charming than Banff in my opinion with a less touristy feel. We did the Little Beehive hike and that view might be my favorite view of all time so far. We absoutely loved it and loved the Tea House as well. It was so cool eating a hard earned lunch in the Tea House and feeling like you're in a fairy tale or something. Overall just an incredible area.

Enjoyed the video Aly and if you are staying longer take a ride through rogers pass and go to revelstoke nice place as well. 👍
  • @marcelatimbo2510
Great video! How about hostel recommendations? I always travel on a budget and staying in a hostel allows me to invest my money in attractions instead of a nice hotel room. Also, any recommendations for car rental? I’m planning my trip for the last week of August. Also, I’m traveling solo and want to do a few hikes. But is it safe to do it by myself? I’m afraid of running into bears. I’m not sure which ones are safe to hike alone
  • Wonderful video! I would appreciate it if you could let me know if I would be able to use my jogging stroller at all the places you mentioned.
  • @EckYG96
I see you flew your drone, you’re able to on certain parts of the icefields parkway?
