It's something you need to be careful with tbh because a lot of car YouTubers lose what made them good as they become more successful, which in a lot of cases is relatability. Hoovie is an example of that, IMO. As soon as he started messing around with new cars and crazily expensive ones, he changed fundamentally and I didn't enjoy watching him anymore.

This is age. I had a miriad of shit boxes for 2 decades. Peugeot 405s 4x4, sportrak (dhaitsu), Impreza (grandpa version), passats etc etc and all high mileage. Now I love a practical car over the powerhouses and I know they ain't anything to shout about. However they were loved and full of character. Now I have two Volvos parked in the drive and the oldest one is 6 years. I MISS PROPER CARS.

I learned to drive in one, a mates dad would rent them out in Broome WA to people on their beachside holidays, but while he was away at the beachside his son would break into the workshop and steal the ones left behind for us to borrow. I use to like Linus tech tips when it was hosted in a garage, it was relatable. All YT channels get worse the more money they have. Phones are the best things to ruin your eyes especially if you use them in the dark.

Crash dieting - not a bright idea unless you have an awful lot of excess weight. I found myself having to wear 36-inch waist trousers and then they started getting tight, so I took the decision to change certain aspects of my diet (more protein, less carbs) - but importantly NOT starving myself. It's a state of mind - eating to live rather than the opposite. In my 50s I'm back at teenage weight and it feels good. Good luck to Rory and Taylor anyway - losing it is one thing, but keeping it off will be another.

@Taylor - check out nasal irrigation with a saline solution. The traditional way is using something called a "neti pot" but the modern versions are much easier to use. I've had horrendous hay fever since I was a kid which starts at the end of February and continues until November. But in the last 2 years I've been using nasal irrigation and have barely had any symptoms. Life changing imo.
