There is growing pressure for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to end the nine-month war in Gaza, with ceasefire talks continuing for months without a breakthrough. On Thursday (Jul 25), United States President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris met Netanyahu separately, with both pressing him to get the deal over the line. Benjamin Radd, political scientist and lecturer at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Law, tells CNA’s Asia First how US politics could influence the course of the Gaza conflict.

Gaza war depends on next US President whether to continue war fundings to Israel

What makes you think there is uncertainty in US politics? The US has lost patience with Israel and in particular with Netanyahu. Biden has made that very clear to him, if he does not care, then they will feel it in a few months time.

Do not fail to include divine intervention. The Lord takes an active interest in Israel's affairs.
