Democrats in western Washington and across the country are throwing their support behind Vice President Kamala Harris, who now appears to be the frontrunner to take over as the Democratic presidential candidate after Joe Biden dropped out of the race Sunday.

After weeks of speculation, President Biden announced his withdrawal from the presidential race and endorsed Harris.

It’s the first time in over 50 years that the incumbent president has dropped out mid-election. That last was President Lyndon B Johnson in March 1968. This is the first time an incumbent has dropped out this late in the presidential race.

Sunday’s news came in a very modern way – the president made the announcement on his X account. The announcement led to an outpour of reaction from voters, local lawmakers and legislators on Capitol Hill as we all wonder what will happen next.

The thing about Kamala is that what has been, has been, and will be followed by what will be. What will be is after what has been. Also, space is exciting, space is for everyone. Let's not forget the yellow school buses....😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 (Kamala hyena laugh).

Not matter what the poll said..it is matter is on the election day when the people make a vote
  • @Sticky-Situation
This changes everything and it changes NOTHING. Don't just vote, get active. Democracy is not going to save itself. CHECK YOUR VOTER'S REGISTRATION, help people get registered, know your local candidates by name, Volunteer, We NEED poll workers, reach out to friends and families, talk to them about what's important... And VOTE BLUE. Madame President has a nice ring to it.
  • I like how the republican party representative is so worried this would destabilize the democratic party. Lol. Like he cares. He’s more worried that Trump is more likely to lose now.
  • @egom1993
They all know already who’s going to win, this whole orchestrated theatrical act is just hilarious 😂
  • @thisismetoday

  • @richbrauer6455
Boy are they going to be depressed when they find out that Harris won’t be the nominee
  • @KK-sg5gl
It’s growing! By ONE PERSON A DAY! By Election Day you’ll have gained about 100 people. Congrats.
