LYRICS
Put your money there
Put your money anywhere
Come on
Brush your silver hair
Bank me like a millionaire
Come on
Gimme velveteen metal, STP
Sunshine for the devil and the dashboard queens
You’re a car, you’re a woman, you’re a drug
You’re all of the above, baby
Lil’ sugar soaker
Breaking my bed
Red tail lights in the back of her head
Such a cherry leather looker
Drive her ’til I’m dead
Lil’ sugar soaker
(Come on come on come on come on)
Yeah
Ate my ELO-oh-oh
Lemon radio
Come on
Dime piece in the seats
Golden goddess outta Greece
Come on
I’ll feed you Frank Sinatra
Stars and stripes forever
I’ll drag you to the opera so you think I’m clever
You’re a car, you’re a woman, you’re a drug
You’re all of the above, baby
Lil’ sugar soaker
Breaking my bed
Red tail lights in the back of her head
Such a cherry leather looker
Drive her ’til I’m dead
Lil’ sugar soaker
(Come on come on come on come on)
Yeah

Brendon's lower notes are UNDERRATED! He sang like a real rockstar here tho
-
Brendon doing something different for every album is such a Brendon thing to do and I absolutely love it.
-
Songs I hear in some of these: -Light Go Out - vaguely reminds me of Drive by Cars -Star Spangled Banger - Boys are Back in Town by Thin Lizzy -God Killed Rock and Roll - obvs Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen -Sugar Soaker - We're an American Band by Grand Funk Railroad -Do it to Death - Separate Worlds by Journey -and how he holds the word "alone" in Sad Clown reminds me of his singing in Into the Unknown
-
Everything about this song it's on point; voice, rhythm, lyrics. E V E R Y T H I N G. I'd pay to have this on repeat if I had to
-
I CANT BELIEVE ITS FINALLY OUT
-
This has some vibes of She's a Handsome Woman and Pas de Cheval from Pretty. Odd. I love it
-
The production quality and the show tooney vibes are so good on this album
-
The way he sings “Come on” is so satisfying.
-
I feel like playing "I Believe in a Thing Called Love" in concert so much inspired this one in some way. This is my fav on the album.
-
the way he sings first lyrics are so hot help
-
This album is giving me 80s vibes so much

This is one of the few actual bangers on this album in my opinion. No weird key changes or tempo changes. Very good vocals, I adore the rock feeling oozing out of this track, the drums and guitar sell it so well. The piano and backing vocals plus a bit of strings complete the feel. Only 'issue' is the bridge for me, would've loved something to scream along there. Again, love this one! The other tracks on this album just ain't it for me :)
