LYRICS
Maggie, don’t you know
He’s got a real fuse about to blow
You gotta let him go
(People say, people say)
(Run away, run away)

Gilly thinks that he’s a DJ
Makes me want to slit my wrist
Breaking mirrors on the subway
No one dances to his hits
Glitter whippits on the freeway
Mamas and papas shitting bricks, yeah
Give your boy a little leeway
No one dances to his playlist
Yeah, you gotta let him go

Maggie, don’t you know
He’s got a real fuse about to blow
You gotta let him go
(People say, people say)
Maggie, the deck is stacked
You gotta hit your boyfriend back
You gotta hit him back
(People say, people say)
(Run away, run away)

God bless the doomsday scrollers
Thank you for doing all the work, oooh
God damn the holy rollers
Making the matters worse
Fourth of July and it’s snowing
(Oh yeah)
Where do you think that you’re going
(Oh yeah)
Yeah, I’ll never let you go

Maggie, don’t you know
He’s got a real fuse about to blow
You gotta let him go
(People say, people say)
Maggie, the deck is stacked
You gotta hit your boyfriend back
You gotta hit him back
(People say, people say)
(Run away, run away)

while im listening this i imagine some piece of musicial when people walk on streets dancing and a singer is in the middle of crowd in front of Maggie and hes singing
  • anyone else notice how this sounds so much like a vices and virtues bonus track? I'm digging it

The hate for this album is so weird to me, and I'm not even a die-hard fan. I liked maybe two songs from the previous record so I figured maybe all the negative attention VLV was warranted, but no... I'm blown away by most of these tracks. I'm taken aback by how well he's captured so many different eras of Panic! in just one album... Hopefully people will come around and listen again!

I can’t decided whether this album is rock, pop, or Broadway but I am OBSESSED either way😂❤️

This one is what we expected this whole time

I like this one the most so far. Which is funny, because it could easily have been on Vices and Virtues. It's got a very old school panic vibe, which I love.

such a banger, so underrated. love everything about this track
  • This is definitely the most like classic Panic! song so far. I could’ve heard this on A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out, Pretty. Odd., or Vices & Virtues.
  • Lots of people: This isn't what we're used to. A Fever You Can't Sweat Out: Scene, Pop punk, emo, baroque pop, electronica, dance-punk, alternative rock Pretty. Odd.: Psychedelic pop, psychedelic rock, baroque pop, pop, pop rock, folk rock Vices and Virtues: Pop rock, pop punk, alternative rock, emo-pop, baroque pop, synth-pop Too Weird to Live, Too Rare to Die!: Pop, pop rock, synth-pop, electropop, dance-pop, alternative rock Death of a Bachelor: Pop rock, pop, rock, jazz, alternative rock, power pop, R&B Pray for the Wicked: Pop, electro-pop, alternative rock Viva Las Vengeance: Pop rock, glam rock, power pop, rock and roll Me: What the fuck did you get 'used to'? Legit, every album has been so unique, they're like siblings, they have a lot of things in common, but they are each their own person. Source: the internet

I like the line with 'Holy rollers' cuz it's a throwback to The Good the Bad and the Dirty
  • The music shifts at the end of the chorus remind me of Queen’s “bicycle” - down to the fact that it’s both jarring and catchy as fuck.

this song is so versatile, it could be in every panic album (not twtltrtd, like the only similarity is the Vegas theme): Has drastic changes on the rythm in some points (people say, run away) so it reminds me of afycso, has pretty odd vibes in the instrumental, it seems to be a vices & virtues bonus track in the arrangement, has the lyrics similar to doab, and the high notes of pftw
  • @KujouSara
i think this is the most panic sounding one so far the other ones don’t really feel like panic at all imo
  • EVERY SINGLE ONE of this Album's songs scream to me that Brendon will make a Broadway Show about his life and use some of the P!ATD discography in the soundtrack
  • @Shubb42
This sounds like a fleshed out version of Kaleidoscope Eyes. I love it!
