HARDCORE NUZLOCKE RULES (POKEMON HARD MODE)

1. Only Pokemon used by Ash can be used in battle.
2. I can only try to catch the first 'Ash Pokemon' that I encounter in each area.
3. If a Pokemon faints it cannot be used for the remainder of the run.
4. If my whole team faints then the attempt is over.
5. No items in battle (held items are okay).
6. Set mode enabled.
7. I cannot over-level beyond the highest level of the next gym. The level cap is shown in the overlay.
8. No duplicate species can be caught. Encounters for species that I have caught previously are re-rolled.
9. Any shiny 'Ash Pokemon' can be caught regardless of whether it is the first encounter of an area.

To accurately play as Ash you would need to purposefully ignore all type advantages and always use the wrong Pokémon

I would love to see this type of run (with a character like Ash or Red mons) in other games. A Gary Hardcore Nuzlocke in Fire Red would be nuts.

Havent watched the full vid yet, but just had to mention how much im loving the editing, everything is so smooth and fluid and the little edits on the top left to explain little things are the cherries on top, along with the quirky ones. lovin it so far
Edit: Just watched it all, damn. Tough luck but it was an insane run regardless. But honestly the MVP of this vid is the vid itself. Everything from the narration to the editing was so well done, it was so engaging. And that transition into the champion battle was so clean and just, damn. Well done dude, lookin forward to more. -
