Thank you so much - I have a new allotment with truly gigantic overgrowth but no tools and no £ - found a discarded, barely used Titan multi-tool in the back of the shared shed with missing parts, not starting, not running any attachments. Found you. I learned how the components work, how to troubleshoot, change and tune. I was so intimidated and so desperate - now I am neither after only about £10 for the oil and parts, my landscaping dreams are in full swing 🙂. Never touched one before let alone fixed anything with a motor. Thanks again, Lady Tek-Li.

Just done another for a neighbour Mick. You really are a superstar. Thank you, Joe❤
  • Titan seems to be prone to that, I've had a few titan tools but on my brushcutter the exact same thing happened, but I didn't bother me hole to fix it 😂luckily it had warranty.

Once those titans start making screaming noises then you know it’s gonna be kaput.
  • Hi Mick I'm new to the channel, and new to titan multitool, I've just bought a second hand machine and I was thinking of doing a service on it, until this moment I had no knowledge, but now I'm more than happy to give it a go, you've probably saved me a load of money and we all like saving, thanks Mick great video. 10 stars from me.

I bought a set of those carb screwdrivers years ago then I got a Hyundai jobbie in for repair and found out there's a whole new bunch of adjusters in the game and had to buy another different set, I've now got about 15 different types 😮
  • In the instruction manual for many of these throw away machines, it says after 5 tank full of fuel to get the carb tuned, but you need tools that are shaped like Pacman, D or double D to adjust the mix instead of a Philips or flat blade, so people just chucked them as they couldn't adjust them. I picked up many like that and a quick tweak and it runs sweet. 😁

mick, have you got a link to the diaphragm set you used please? i have a qualcast te30h i need a new one for, , or do you know where i could get a complete carb ?
  • Hi Mick, great video and nice to see you doing a two stroke. A couple of pointers. I always change the fuel first if it is priming okay. Personally. On that Chinese machine, with a single ‘High’ trim screw and only being 3 years old. I would have tried adjusting the jet screw first. If that fails. Check the turn setting. Remove the needle and squirt a bit carb cleaner in there and allow to dwell for a few minutes. Try and then adjust. If that fails. I would plonk in my ultrasonic tank. For a session. Trust me. I have been doing this for many years. I only use neat WD40 in the ultrasonic tank. Pop the carb in. Prime it submerged, so it is full. And set it away. After half an hour. Pump the primer a few more times to refresh. And set away for another 30 mins. Or until it gets to about 80’C. I find this works most of the time. Generally taking 2T carburettors to bits ends in gasket tearing. So I only do as a last resort, with a rebuild kit to hand. But this method normally works. Trust me! My tank takes about 2L. A gallon of WD is about £28 Used to be cheaper. I only refresh a couple times a year. Filter the used WD and use in a spray bottle to lube allsorts, so it doesn’t go to waste. Cheers David.
