  • I'm 6 minutes & 30 seconds in and the absolute best part so far was (and should have been obvious to me!) turning the third hand holder so that the board sits only just above the desktop! How did I not think of that in 26 years of soldering? That was fantastic (and so darn obvious that I have to kick myself in the but)!
  • @cri8tor
Great tutorial. Really appreciate the effort it takes to record, edit and post your video. Cheers brother
  • @jeffescortlx
Awesome video 10/10. Even your editing is great! I like the 3D printed back, even though you didn't end up using it. How has it been holding up for the last couple months?

D'oh! I was going to comment about your soldering and how it just didn't look right, as in it seemed either your solder was a higher temperature than it should be, or your soldering iron was faulty or under rated Eg: 10 watts when it should be around 25 to 30 watts Max, that is if it wasn't temperature controlled, Nice to see you have a new Iron now, so your soldering should be much faster now.. I have been using a 30watt soldering iron since I was 11~12 on my second Iron and I found I can work on old valve devices right down to SMD without having to resort to my Hot-Air/Soldering-Iron/Power-Supply Station, funny thing is the soldering iron that comes with it is temperature controlled and yet I still get a far better result using a simple 30 watt soldering iron without any temperature control to it.. "APU" Err-"As Per Usual" I dropped a Like, OK on to the next video..
  • Great video - well presented and explained. Is the T12 still holding up and working for you. Regards, Dave (I notice you have not posted in a while - will you be making more content?)
  • @haiiderali
Great video..Can you explain about Temperature sensor,,,,?which type of sensor used in Element Tip? K or J or T
  • @sakthivelv1777
What about 900m vs t12 tips life span? Excellent review. It would be super if you included struts and proper earthing(makes it safer and ESD safe). I am waiting for your soldering station mod video. Thank you!
  • @Darryl603
Are you able to change the temperature reading to Fahrenheit? Thanks
  • I built the same kit, but I found that if I disconnected the earth wire (your green wire) the display was much stable and not jumping up/down. I realize that the earth wire is important why is it causing the display to jump around ?
  • @1woWv_bjgESQ
I bought the finished product, but the main console broke down in 10 months.
  • @KorAllRBare
**ADENDUM** D'oh! this was your last Video that yo made.. oh well ketchup when yo do make another.. Cheers dude..
  • @raidzor5452
11:05 Complete disregard of safety and utter ignorance. How did they even let you get near electronics?!
  • @AmigaWolf
Great and WEL made guide video, so people know how to do it themselves. And do you have a new link of the TOP quality (not Chinese one) Solder you use? Thanks.
