Fun fact about Big Rigs (and presumably Midnight Race Club): if you continually reverse for a little under an hour, you'll eventually reach 12.3 undecillion (that's 36 zeroes) miles per hour. At that point, you will automatically win the race, as you're going so fast the game registers you as being everywhere at once.

Fun fact about Big Rigs. The version they played? Actually a later version. There was an earlier version, that I think was available on retail shelves, where you only had one playable truck, and the opponent vehicle never moved at all. It stayed on the start line forever.

"LJN" and every AVGN fan screamed in terror

I remember the Yaris game at Evo 2007. There was a contest to get the highest score. Of course, being full of fighting game players, an exploit for infinite points of found by the end of the first day. Don't kill the final boss, & the game goes on forever.
  • One glitch that you missed in Big Rigs, if you go through the starting gate then reverse through it, you'll instantly win
  • "The Yaris! It's reliable, but watch out it might have tentacles" That's a truly Japanese product.

Remember how in the Worst Plug & Play videos, the first console had "Boat Race", which was just a visual hack of "F-1 Race", and then the sequel console changed it to "UFO Race", and then again into "Bicycle Race"? Midnight Race Club is basically just that to Big Rigs, except they didn't even bother to change the backgrounds to make it look as if it were a different game.
  • The Yaris game reminds me of those "stories" my younger self would come up with playing with various different, unconnected toys at the same time.
  • I adore the little storyline for the ghosts in this episode, it's funny and feels real, this is their lives for sure lol.
  • That rat blowing into the balloon animation is killing me. Hilarious 😂

What's even badder and sadder about Race Drivin on the Snes is that there's a homebrew mod that makes it an impressive visual showcase of a game, and shows what could have been with some added hardware and better coding. I'm really surprised that you didn't feature it it your video, since it really makes the unmodded version look even more goofy.

06:53 the passenger cannot see the speedometer. I distinctly remember a coworker who had a Yaris saying, "It's great! My wife can't comment on my speed now!"
  • To be honest, that rat and balloon joke is gonna live rent free in my head for the rest of my life and I have to thank you for that.

Could this be a larger chapter of an overarching story about the money ghosts attempting to actually make Shane and Adam stop the Just Bad Games series?? One ghost tried in the Dog Football episode. Is that perhaps a taste of what's to come??
  • @Davtwan
A long episode with multiple money ghost animations and lore? You’re too good to us. I love these lil’ colorful spooks. ❤
  • It’s a Just Bad Multi-pack of Madness. I think you guys should do more stuff like this in the future
  • I love how the Ghost of the money we wasted on bad racers interact with themselves

Big Rigs actually did have a selection that would crash your game every single time. The game got multiple releases, you only played the last one In the first release, one of the stages would always hard crash the game every time you selected it (on top of the AI driver not even moving until the last release... That was a thing that happened)
