When a Denny's shuts down due to crime, you know shit's getting real.

Oakland leadership must be real proud…

Once the chickens moved in I said to myself" There goes the neighborhood "
  • Meanwhile the people in charge want to blame the companies and not the criminals.

Where are all the criminals going to go to eat at 4 am after a tough night of robbing people? Now this is just plain unfair. Criminals need places to eat after a hard night out.

I love how the residents act shocked as to why these businesses are shutting down and leaving. 🤣

This DENNY'S closed after 54 YEARS Frickin' Denny's Y'all have done something insane
  • I am shocked. Who could have predicted that soft on crime policies and prosecutors would have lead to businesses closing due to crime? 🙄

It's a shame that Police salaries, pensions and benefits are so unsustainable that we can't afford a larger police force. Even 911 doesn't pick-up.

Me and the missus were staying at a San Fran hotel back in 1992 and we needed to catch the Amtrack from Oakland. The cab driver had never been to Oakland and seemed frightened. We understood why when we got to the Amtrack station which was one scary place. We were hoping the train would come early. And this was 34 years ago!

Shout out to the people who were all in on social justice, justice reform, defunding police and BLM. Stand tall and be proud of what you helped create.

Many people in Oakland are wondering, “who we gonna rob now?”

This is like a prison closing for crime.
  • @guyinthechat9533
Maybe if you all actually arrested and punished people for crime there you wouldn't have everyone packing up and leaving.

At least the businesses are stating out loud the real reason for the closings.
