  • Thank you so much for the info! I lost my husband in April and am now having to learn all the things he did for me. I was lucky enough to have my own easy start chain saw. But my 4 wheeler battery would not hold a charge and now it does!

Finally, someone who can answer my question without taking 10 or 20 minutes of my time. @work and you know it's against some written law somewhere to Google necessary info! Thanks a million!

Thanks. I'm helping a friend in Palm Springs with a battery problem. He didn't believe me when I told him that some batteries even today require distilled water. Including my 2015 Camry with OEM Toyota battery. I shared this. Hopefully he won't be sold a new battery, alternator or worse before trying your topic here. Thanks again.
  • This information was sooo helpful!! Thanks, Tony!! My Toyota truck was stalling out / not starting. I took it to 7 different mechanics. I was quoted anywhere from $700.00 - $1,400.oo to 'correct' the problem. I was beside myself and went to visit a friend. He checked the battery, added water and the problem completely disappeared! And has been fine ever since! Too bad I didn't see your battery from the start!

Excellent video. Always tough to video this kind of projects with one -hand camera and eyes focused on multiple things at the same time. Lots of good information. Flow and explanation are very good in context.
  • Nice video, A good tip I always follow is to first clean the surface of the battery and carefully lift the caps and clean the area with a clean paper towel or a clean sponge. Is not a bad idea to rinse and clean the caps (front and back) before placing them back.

  • @bobbyhz5530
Would this work for a battery that won't hold a charge at all and is a lil low on water?? Thx for the video
  • @TapiocaGilroy
Thank you for the video! If the 12v battery died, do you recommend buying a new battery or refill distilled water for it to recharge?
  • @AaronSalcedo
I noticed you didn't disconnect the battery from the car, so I'm assuming it's safe to add the "battery water" this way? I have a car that the interior lights are so dim, and when I turn on the headlights they get even dimmer! Do you think a battery water refill like this would remedy that?
  • @alienartpop
Hey brother thanks for the vids. My Kia Soul battery doesn't have those caps. Have you ever come across a different style or can I send you a pic of my battery.
  • @Methodical2
FYI. Always check water level in new batteries. Also, clean the battery before adding the water to keep crap from dropping into the battery.
  • Ok so I just found this video because my sister rang me saying her battery was dead, so I just took all caps off the top of the battery and filled it up to the top, I hope it works when we check it in a minute lol
  • @warnacokelat
I think the most important part is how to tell if you really need to add water and when to stop adding water. I added too much and now it's all a big mess.

Awesome video you got the point over you kinda messed up a little bit but I think people got the point
