Toyota calls the rattles a safety feature that aids the driver to stay wake and annoyed. - A 2023 Tundra Owner

I remember about 15 years ago when we didn't really care for a truck to be luxurious. They were priced right and interior fit/finish wasn't a concern nearly as much as capability. Now that these things are priced so high they miss the mark on these small details that piss people off. My 2005 Chevy 2500 has had little rattles and minor interior quality issues since I drove it off the lot, but I never cared about it. They never got worse and the truck will never die. Look at a first or second gen Tundra, the interiors were cheap and had rattles too.

“It’s normal, every Tundra have this thing” Such a good point 💀

Toyota now that it is the largest auto company the quality suffers. Happens to every brand, every market.

I drove Toyota tacoma from 6 yrs. Moved to a 2023 Tundra for about 6 months. I could not stand the lack of lumbar support in the seat. Anyway i drive a Silverado now.
  • I'm in your shoes dude, I have a 2023 SR with interior rattles all over, some are intermittent, others are poor design, I won't be going back to Toyota after this truck, it's too bad how the mighty has fallen

only if they were assembled and built in Japan - would have not been an issue. No wonder Tundras are widely available for sale in the dealerships

Sorry for your experience. I own a 2024 platinum tundra at almost 9k miles and I have experienced zero issues. I know you mentioned that you own an SR5, most places where the SR5 has plastic, mine has leather. That being said, I agree with you. These new tundras are already pretty expensive and you shouldn’t have to pay the price that I did for my 24 platinum($68k) to not experience issues interior wise. Wish you the best in your unfortunate journey and hopefully everything will be resolved.

My local dealer has Tundra's out the wazoo sitting on the lot, I don't think Toyota quality is what it used to be!

My 2023 NIssan Titan pro4x has been great over the last year and 15k of ownership. Glad I didn't get the Tundra.

I have a 21 Tacoma, but I used to have a 15 Tundra and an 06 Xterra all were high build quality with no rattles. I also have a 19 Rav4 and that does have some rattles that drove me nuts, but I took care of them myself. I know you should not have to do this, but you can pull those panels off and put a strip of my sticking foam weatherstripping under it or put the weatherstripping along inside the gap. That would at least keep it from rattling.

The built quality of Toyota is down the drain. My Rav4 windows were shaking like crazy when I bought it brand new with 40 km on the dash.

I have a 2024 Grandhiglander all the door buttons are straight from Lexus, so far no quality issues at all. the buttons you showed look not like Lexus buttons with the brushed Aluminum accents

Toyota is in lala land. They dropped the V8 and expect potential truck drivers to be fine with this? Gm and Ford are laughing at Toyota.
  • @Recon98789
I seen another viewer that had the same problem but with the front passenger side glass rattling. They replaced the door/cab weather stripping and it fixed the problem!! 🎉🎉😊

I have a 2023 TRD pro. Zero issues with rattling but the plastic door panels scratch very easy. I found if you wipe them down with 303 interior protectant helps a lot. I think it has something to do with the releasing agent the use on the molds.
  • @therealjayseh
Felt pads on the other side will fix it. You can do that yourself. I wouldn't want anybody touching my truck. Especially a truck like that.
  • @lionsgarage
My Tundra same trim does not have that issue.

Thanks for update, hang in there. I agree for that much money it shouldn’t be like that.
