  • The Alan Wilder era is gold for me. Just listening to the musical complexity of 'Walking In My Shoes' or 'Never Let Me Down Again'.
  • Simple when I see Alan Wilder, I will watch... I miss him so much. hopefully we will see him again soon. x

In my opinion, there is a fifth part-time DM member (if you will) who is sadly overlooked: Gareth Jones! It was him, along with Alan, who created the sound we all started to adore. The Berlin trilogy would never have happened without their combined genius. The rest is history - and Alan, for sure.
  • @marukqs
Video from 101 where Alan plays Emulator keyboard with split zones was one of my inspirations.
  • Great vid as ever .... like nearly everyone i can never get enough of alan wilder would love for you to meet up with him and have an amazing chat what a legend miss him terribly come back alan!
  • Vince may have begun Depeche Mode... It was Alan Wilder that breathed the life into the songs. Martin is the writer ..Yes But his songs are dead on the slab and it's Wilder's dr Frankenstein that gives them life. I myself am inspired to play synths by first seeing Depeche Mode in Tiffnays in Glasgow 1983
  • Depeche Mode are one of my favourite bands. And from that era when I first heard them in 1981 when I was 7 years old and they blew me away! I've been a fan ever since and they definitely aren't the same without Alan. Great video thanks!👍
  • A few days ago someone here on YT promoted a Depeche Mode sound pack he did for the Arturia Emulator II V and demoing the sounds. This is when i remembered what marvelous sound design Depeche Mode were known for in the 80s. None of that magic is there anymore today only the same overused analog blips for the past 2 decades.

i will still keep dreaming about that one day DMAV(dave martin alan vince) reunite for one last album before everyone officially retires

Thanks for video Vaughn! wish you an interview with Alan :) And maybe... little collab in your studio with him :D

There are some recipes where if an ingredient is missing, the dish simply doesn't taste the same. Alan Wilder is that indispensable ingredient.

Well, a huge part (significantly larger) of fans (including me) think the same as You in this video, and finally we all buy tickets to the latest shows tour by tour and enjoy them, but mostly we appreciate the songs written before 1993 with the collaboration of the Master.😊
  • As a veryyyy long time DM fanatic, im getting more and more int your channel and work mate, thank you and please keep it up.
  • @erikbulow3851
When Alan left Depeche, Depeche stopped delivering the music we all love! Says more about Alan than anything!

The video is how I discovered you. Still here. Love your content, honesty and wilder respect ❤️‍🩹
