patti once crashed at a friend of mine's place and I had an incredible chance to talk to her, I was like oh my god I can't believe you're hanging out with us and she told me - why? it was the most natural thing for her to hang out with whomever, to just be herself, a super natural person who is always the same and credible and doesn't change or adapt her behaviour or attitude when surrounded by anyone, she's treating all people like equal, it's precious

2024 and she sounds just as good as she did in the 70's❤!! GREAT ❤😊

She just does it! Says it in so many ways. I celebrate her very existence! I am her age. And that's what we can be, at any age when we are moved, when we have something to say, when we have the courage.

I saw Patti Smith in 1977 and to this day it is still one of the greatest shows I've ever seen in my life.

A most awesome song by a most awesome artist. I can remember the first time that I heard it on old FM radio driving to my carpenter’s apprenticeship class and smoking a Colombo. It just blew my mind as we used to say. I just couldn’t believe my ears. It was just so awesome and Patti still has it! She is just too awesome! And to blend the intro into an a,aging cover of another awesome song GLORIA. I’m sure Van Morrison approved! That whole album is more than a classic!

She’s always been so powerful. Now in her Crone years she is a force to be reckoned with (though it feels we are joining forces with her) Thank you Patti for sharing your incredible energy with us.

Gloria is such a great cover song and Patti Smith's version does justice do it. I'm embarrassed to say I didn't realize that Van Morrison, while he was with the band "Them", and wrote and played the song. And then I learned in the same breath that the Doors idolized this song when it came out and actually hung out with Them, AND had performed Gloria together on stage very early on, in the pre-fame LA days. I got all of the info from watching the Amoeba Records "What's in my Bag" video with John Densmore of the Doors. You should watch it, if you haven't already.
