I can't believe when I saw him win that grammy, his wife was in the hospital. You just never know what people go through behind the scenes even when it looks like they are very successful in public.

I've been watching Jon's story unfold for several years now. To be such a positive force in the world and for all the people around him, while giving everything he has to his wife and his music is just...humbling.

How can Jon held up his head and give the world a smile facing all this personal and global misery ? He believes in the power of positive creativity. Humanity needs more of such characters.

I was in attendance at the 65th Grammy Awards lovin every minute and had no clue as to the great personal stress Batiste was under. This looks to be quite the emotional roller coaster of a film! Much continued strength and creativity to Jon and Suleika!

Just watched - one the best documentaries I've ever seen. It felt more like a movie than a documentary. So cinematic, musical, heartbreaking, and also heartwarming. Bravo to them both for their bravery and sharing their lives, joys, pain, and artistry with the world.

Read Suleika's book "Between Two Kingdoms" before watching this. It's her story up to and a little after meeting him. It's an amazing read. I'm in awe of both of them. Can't wait to see this.

Jon Batiste has always been just a incredibly positive guy whenever I see his face and hear his laugh. I had no idea he was dealing with such serious life stuff at home. He is just an incredible force of positivity to maintain that while going through this.

Really admire Jon Batiste--his humility, his thoughtfulness, his art. When I heard his partner's cancer came back, I really felt for them both. Looking forward to watching the documentary. They both seem like such inspiring people.

i remember when he won AOTY, there were so many people angry and upset with him because they didn’t feel he deserved it over the mainstream artists he was nominated with. i really hope they watch this and understand that he fully deserves everything he’s achieved.

I’ve always loved Jon and his work… But after watching this documentary, I love him even more. The sheer strength, determination and love he has demonstrated through his personal and private life is insane. I think it definitely proves the point that the happiest appearing people are the ones likely in the most pain.

I read Suleika’s memoir a few years ago (it’s excellent!) and was so heartbroken when I heard her cancer had come back. These two are so incredibly inspirational on every level. I can’t wait to see this film.

This trailer had me on the verge of tears. There is just something about Mr. Batiste and his energy and that of his wife, that draw you in and make you want to know more, learn more and be more. There are not many EXTRA SPECIAL human beings on this planet, but I think that Mr. Baptiste is def one of them.
