“Minimalism is propaganda being fed to you from companies that make grey couches” I am losing it

I’m so happy the Barbie saying balls is something that is staying, it’s so funny

As an adult I'm really glad to know it was actually pretty common to have a ton of Pokemon cards and have zero idea how the actual card game worked.

I remember home-room in 4th grade when the kids who traded cards would all wait until the teacher stepped out of the room for something, and instantly maybe 6 or 7 extra large 3-ring binders would come flying out of backpacks and slam onto desks, everyone else pulling out what they had to trade from their pockets or card cases. They were so efficient at not getting caught that the teacher could have stepped right outside, and they had 3 or 4 kids in the room that acted as the lookouts at all times, and everyone else would ninja their way across the room to nab trades really quickly. Like, almost the entire class. And then one day our teacher caught us, and instead of busting us she revealed she was a fan too and brought us over to her desk to show us the Eevee card she had taped on her monitor, since it was her favorite one because of the many evolutions. Mrs. Peters, one of the kindest and most gentle teachers I ever had in my entire scholastic career. If I could have just had her as my teacher for the rest of my life, I probably would have done a whole lot better and had a few honors degrees by now.

Dude the fuckin "UH OH" when he almost cried talking about digimon depression (digipression)??? I felt that

jenna always helping kurtis and somehow having what he always needs sweetens my heart, i love them

My dad collected a lot of different trading cards between the 1980s through the early 2000s. I asked him if he had any pokemon cards, and he said he thought a relative gave him a bunch of "weird cards." And when I finally found the box, I was amazed to see...a box of disney trading cards.
  • @AnnikkaHowe
Kurtis, you better film yourself opening the other boxes, I’m invested now.
  • as a kpop photocard collector i can see a lot of similarities! it’s a physical collection of something you care really deeply about. the anticipation you feel opening an album to see your cards, it’s so fun. i’m glad to see other communities having the same/ similar experiences because it’s such a good time!
  • @makemosaics
That photo of Curtis in front of the Pokémon car with the backstreet boys T-shirt is one of the sweetest things I’ve ever seen.
  • @nikkicarreon
The older I get the more frequently I almost cry over shit I watched when I was little 💀 in fact I am almost always on the brink of tears LMAO this made me feel better about that haha
  • @jarvis
kurtis you have no idea how happy this video makes me
  • @alexia3552
Honestly the conclusion of this video being that joy is more important than cash is pretty great. Sometimes we adults need a good reminder of that
  • @Am-of1ej
This is one of my favourite kurtis videos. Its comforting for some reason. I dont think it would be as comforting if he found his old collection and it was worth a million or something. Idk it feels real
  • @charly_george
The story arc of this video is like the trading card equivalent of a teen movie where the girl spends most of the movie simping for the popular guy only to realise she should actually be with her nerdy best guy-friend who’s been in love with her all along.
  • @annaavertho4944
Dude probably doesn’t realise it but those beanie babies are a goldmine as well...
  • Reading everyone’s story’s about how they threw out all their collections and they regret somehow makes me sad as hell- I somehow relate bc I had book and a huge stack of pokemon cards.. and i don’t know what happened to them
