On day 4, adventure on the East Highland Way comes to an end. It's another day with great weather, sometimes even too great as walking in full sun not always is easy.
It was interesting section and there was no issues walking it. With increasing proximity of Aviemore number of met people increased dramatically what wasn't surprising but noticeable.

East Highland Way appears to be enjoyable walk on entry level so if you want to try backpacking this is trail for you because you'll be able to try different types of hiking and there will always be opportunity ditch the tent and sleep in B&B or hotel. So it's safe, not as busy as many other trails in Highlands and the views don't disappoint.

Thank you war watching my videos and I hope to meet you on the trail.

Thanks for making the videos Sebastian, they have been very helpful to me. I start the trail on Friday and I am taking a leisurely 7 days to do it as I always seem to be rushing my walks!

An excellent video and an excellent end to an excellent series. The silhouetted image of the Barracks at 1:30 is stunning. Definitely another trail to consider. Many thanks for taking us along. Cheers. Ken

Great videos my friend. The EHW looks great. Scotland has beautiful scenery. I'm ashamed to admit that I live here and haven't taken the time to explore. I have a few workmates who've just trekked around and then up Rysy in Poland while there for a holiday The photos looked lovely. A great country .

Well done Sebastian 👍 Nice relaxing videos. I enjoyed them. I love mushrooms but would not take the risk to eat wild ones. Maybe I should do some homework to recognise the safe ones. Take care, Justin.

Thank you Seb for sharing this great series of videos on the East Highland Way! :-)
  • Hey Sebastian! Watched all of your EHW videos before a friend and I set off to do it ourselves last month. Thought your vids were great - and really helpful. I mentioned you in my own set of videos - in relation to Loch Laggan mainly, and the massive expanse of sandy beach that was there on your trip - which was COMPLETELY covered when we were there! No sign of it at all! Just lots of snow 😁 Anyway, just wanted to say nice one - and keep up the great work with the videos 👍🏻 All the best, Dan

Fantastic Seb - it looks like that Scottish weather was getting you down a bit. Ha ha! Very nice indeed! I gotta say there are many foragers in the UK - the tradition is still strong for eating wild mushrooms and the like. They do taste different that's for sure. A bit like this trail - few people in the West. Well, good going. A really cool hike. Mark
  • Enjoyed the final section, another splendid day. We used to pick wild mushrooms when growing up in Highland Perthshire but then my mother got sick on a poisonous one and we didn't pick them after that. We did pick the wild raspberries and brambles for mother to make jam. Do you know cloud berries, we sometimes see them when hiking out on the moor?
