The US Vice President Kamala Harris has had her share of firsts in her professional career. Her next first could now be the presidency. Beset by concerns about his age and electability, when US President Joe Biden announced his departure from the November presidential race on July 21, he decided to endorse his second-in-command Harris as the Democratic nominee. A decision Harris called a “selfless and patriotic act”.
After blazing many trails and breaking many gender ceilings, 59-year-old Harris is set to make history yet again. This time, as the first black woman to head a major party’s presidential ticket, if she receives the nomination at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago next month, and, if she wins, the first female president.

    Too many images of her laughing her head off for me to feel comfortable. The Dems need Pete Buttigieg! Calm speaker, commands respect when he speaks, composed and ready with the facts to instantly counter misinformation. If I were a republican this is the person I would fear most. He is no nonsense and has the necessary gravitas for the Oval Office.

    Harris can easily beat Trump As long as the Dems are united not fractured the Republican party But most importantly, she has to chose the right running mate and not go for gimmicks A lot of people want her to chose a woman so it will be historic ticket but also a gimmick She needs to keep it down to Earth and realistic
