Billy Preston getting that last toke in before he plays is classic. (at the 45 second mark).
  • Never get tired of this song. I especially love seeing how it came together on the Get Back/Let It Be docs.

I love the cup of tea on the top of Billy's keyboard. So rock n roll

After about 45 years I know it was Billy Preston who played the piano on this fabulous Beatles song !!!

That last line from John always makes me laugh, even though I know it's coming.
  • Billy Preston un musicista che merita un posto nella storia dei Beatles, spero che non sia dimenticato o considerato un aiuto, come molti lo definiscono lui è il quinto Beatles.

Aaaaargggh!!!! I’m 76. I worked round the corner from Savile Row. ( Grafton Street) when this happened . So, it’s a very special track. It’s a simple 3 chord rock/blues. Lennon makes it. His rhythm playing is very funky. BUT!! It’s his fills and lead solo that is beautiful. He’s never been a technical genius. But it’s perfect. AND I have never seen a close up of Lennon playing it. On the roof there are close up shots of Billy P and all sorts but when JL plays the solo there’s no solo close up. Back in the day, camera men didn’t know a lead guitarist from a bass guitarist. As years of topofthpops has shown us. Rant over. .

Yeh. That be gooder'n grits. As a guitarist/musician of 62+ years ... I can authoritatively say that The Beatles STILL RULE.
