Two New Holland Haybines Going in Circles

Brad is now driving a flatbed semi; it pays much better than farming. Brad bought two 492 mowers a couple years ago, and we finally swapped parts to make on good one. A 9ft. cut is hard to maneuver down the road, but sure makes cutting faster when two are cutting together. Brad's mower has standard sickle guards, mine has stub guards. Two mowers still aren't fast enough to keep ahead of the tedder. Somehow, through the dry spells, I managed to make more hay than ever this year, but I think it's because I had the time to pick up more backyards to mow. Can't make hay when it rains, that's why I like drought.

  • Hey Jacob just wanted to say thank you for all the videos that you post. You are the type of person that I could sit and listen to talk about farming all day long. Plus you do everything old school with cool old equipment that I can relate to. I’m 17 and I don’t live on a farm but channels like yours inspired me to buy a bunch of old equipment, fix it up and make hay for people.

Outstanding! Nothing like two Fords pulling New Holland Haybines. I would be excited too.

Great to see Brad back. I remember all the videos he was in years ago. (I remember the 2 of you sitting in the field watching the solar eclipse with welding helmets. That was cool. I like stub guards. Have them on my Massey Ferguson haybine. Much better for going over hay that has already been mowed, like when you're finishing up a narrow strip of hay.
