Girly dental assistant here, your gums bleed when you floss because you aren’t flossing often or well enough it’s called gingivitis and it’s reversible you can make your gums stop bleeding if you simply floss everyday and go below the gum line before brushing your teeth. If you let gingivitis go too long it will turn into periodontal disease which is not reversible and will make your teeth fall out, constant bad breath ( perio breath ) and end up costing hundreds of dollars for specialized cleanings more frequently than insurance covers to keep up with the maintenance.
