It's 1927 and Prohibition is the law of the land. For Rocky, Freckle and Ivy, the night shifts are never dull.

LACKADAISY, based on a comic series by Tracy J. Butler, was directed by Fable Siegel, produced by Iron Circus Animation, and made by a crew of more than 160 skilled artists across the world. The project was funded by Kickstarter backers, aided by Patreon supporters, and fueled by fan viewership and enthusiasm during the course of its production. Thank you so much for watching, and for your support!

Just like Pixar director Brad Bird stated: 'Animation is an art form for storytelling not a genre for kids.'

I love how Freckles goes from a shy quiet soul to a psychotic maniac once he gets his hands on the Tommy.
  • May my friend rest in peace because of cancer he couldn't breath anymore in the hospital, me and my friend binge watched this pilot together before he died today and we loved it so much. I will always love this pilot in memory of him. Thank you, Lackadaisy.

Since Disney is lacking on hand draw 2d animation, the people are making it themselves!! This is what we want!

As a violinist, a single tear shed down my cheek when he fell holding the violin.

This will seem like a very oddly specific thing to focus on, but the way Serafine is using the BAR as it was originally intended, “walking fire” with the proper sling and all, is a very nice touch.
  • Hand drawn animation should never go out of style, and this is proof of exactly why.

the accuracy of St. Louis / missouri history ALONE is insane, and obvious that yall have done your research! this is such a great animated pilot episode, and i can't wait for more!!!!
  • @ClownFrogOwO
OMG this NEEDS to be a full length show!! The animation, the music, the designs, the story, the atmosphere, EVERYTHING is amazing!! If/when this becomes a full length show it will 1000% be up there with the classics like avatar the last air bender or bojack horseman
  • Rocky is the type of guy to eat your food while asking if you were gonna finish that.

The cat body language throughout this entire thing is spot on and perfect

Dude this animation is top notch. Not to mention the Setting of prohibition and the main characters being Well Alcohol Smugglers I think that’s the right way of saying it (which I’m surprised I haven’t seen before as a movie or something) is just a really good idea over all. Not to mention who doesn’t like cats besides well people who are allergic to them.
  • I love how despite being so humanized they still make cat noises and still have some cat behaviors like their tails puffing up omg
  • The use of a stopwatch sound to represent Mordecai’s intense focus is a beautiful artistic answer to the more common heartbeat sound effect.
  • This is a reminder to SUPPORT INDIE ANIMATION. The major studios aren't bringing us what we want, and they won't listen. Indie animation is what we want, not Netflix with another season of Big Mouth.

15:50 Can we talk about how Mordecai could shoot Ivy, Goddaughter of Atlas, Goddaughter of the guy who showed him a way in his darkest moments, but he didn't

something ive noticed, people usually criticize the sketch lines you can sometimes see and the final speakeasy scene being ''unfinished'' while i think it just adds to the aesthetic of it being: A: a cartoon from the 1920s B: a dream/daydreaming sequence sketch lines are the best things that can happen to an animation, it just adds to the feel of it being hand drawn by a bunch of talented people.
