Manor House Metal Detecting - Incredible Finds!

Published 2024-06-06
In this episode I have kindly been invited to do some Metal Detecting in the grounds of an old Manor House and farmstead which dates back to the Doomsday Book. This place was crammed full of history and I couldn't wait to see what could be found there, I wasn't disappointed !

Want to see what I found? Hit play and come along for the day as we soak up the sights and sounds of the beautiful English countryside and attempt to uncover lost treasure buried for centuries beneath our feet.

Cracking finds in cracking weather. Good job as always Michael.
  • I do particularly like the Vickie coins, here in Canada she was the first monarch on our dedicated coins ( from 1858) our large one cents used the young Vicky bust on a British half penny planchet, some were made at the Heaton mint in Birmingham under contract as Royal mint to busy doing other coins so I particularly like them. The medal is brilliant and made me think of Dr Watson ( Sherlock) as he served in Afghanistan😉
