CARMAX DISASTER Signals COLLAPSE Of The Car Market!

In this video we talk about CARMAX. I take you to CarMax's lot and show you just how full it is and how expensive their cars are. It's clear that CarMax is in trouble and their prices aren't sustainable! I also talk about what this mean for the car market as a whole.

My name is Brandon and I am a used car dealer. I created Car Questions Answered to share the ins and outs of the used car market from my perspective. I share with you updates on car prices, what's happening at the dealer auctions, and what it's like being a dealer. My goal is to share information to help you make the best decisions while buying a car to save you money. I do not want car dealers taking advantage of you.

People that traded cars in every three years are now keeping them ten. The car industry got greedy and screwed themselves.

That Raptor, Shelby, and Vette have no price because you have to sign a medical waiver before Carmax will show you those prices.

Dudes done this video like 20 times already. Nothing changes.

The FED yesterday said, they will not be cutting rates anytime soon. Remember when they said inflation was only “transitory”?

It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside that CarMax , manufacturers and Dealers are starting to suffer but there is a long way to go before we as consumers are satisfied with the pricing of these vehicles !
  • @markaruski
Those car prices are crazy, will stand by on the sidelines for now and just keep repairing my current car.

How many signals of the car market collapse can there be before it actually happens... 🤔😂

I worked at a CarMax for a year. My store mainly dealt with poor credit clientele. The cars were overpriced to begin with and many were financed @ 28.5% for 72 months. That should be criminal IMO. If nothing else it’s just stupid. Every car I sold under those conditions took a piece of my soul with it. I just couldn’t do it anymore so I quit. My manager tried to talk me into staying by explaining people need a car to get to work to feed their children and they likely could not get approved anywhere else. He said “at the end of the day, they are the ones signing the contract”. That didn’t help, I walked off the job that day, no two week notice. Only place worse than CarMax is JD Byrider 😆
  • I have contacted a good many car dealers about a new car purchase recently. Sorry, but they have their heels dug in and are holding prices high. They also have many greedy fees that tack on a good 7k to 10k on the suggested retail price of the car. I'll just keep my current car.

They should sell all their used cars at higher than new car prices ... solid plan

Classic failing restaurant behavior. Up the menu prices when nobody likes the food. Some folks just don’t get it. Ever.. This will end horribly. That’s when you buy. 😂😂😂

I just bought a brand new 2024 Civic Sport Hatch MT6 for $26,800, including doc fee, but not including taxes/government fees. I see a local CarMax listing for basically the same thing, 2023 with 16k miles, for $29,200, including doc fee. That is $800 MORE than new car's MSRP+doc fee, even considering CarMax charges $300 less doc fee!!! On a new car, I was able to negotiate, but CarMax? (shrug) You've got to be missing a few screws somewhere to be buying the used one from CarMax for MORE MONEY than a brand new one!

They destroyed American trucks and then jacked the price 2.5x in 5 years...that always works out real well for big ticket items...

Stopped at a local CarMax about a month ago for a test drive. They put me on a waiting list and had me sit in the lobby for about 20-30min before I got up and left. It's like they didn't even want to sell me a car.
  • Every video this guys puts out says one manufacturer or dealers or another’s world is ending. They’re still there…
  • @BrettBaker
This is one of those guys who talk and talk without ever really saying anything.
  • @RedEyeC
Average price drop at Carmax in the last year was $600? I'll think about buying when it's $6000.
  • Frankly, just save and pay cash 💵 💵 💵 💵 like i did!!!! Saved for 19-months and paid $22,500 cash for mine!!!! Made sure to also have saved more to replace parts for her!!!!

I bought a Rav4 hybrid for under invoice this weekend. And the dealer offered me more for my trade than Carmax, which is unusual. I think the market is finally shifting.
