This was my experience on Fiverr, where I spent $500 to transform my magic FPS game into an open world adventure in unreal engine utilizing gaea and other unreal engine marketplace assets as a baseline.

Let me just start by saying I realize my foolish mistakes and lack of appreciation for the amount of work required to be a game dev. The point of my videos is to document my journey and quite frankly show how not to be a moron like me, hence the koala meme. $500 is a lot of money and I assure you I am paying the price for it irl. So please learn from my mistakes, don't let your ADHD or your ego get the best of you. There is a lot to learn when it comes to game dev, personally I have a massive amount to learn and hopefully you guys can learn from my foolish mistakes along the way so you don't have to make them. Also side note, to the guy that made the map. You did a splendid job and I got more than my monies worth so I thank you truly. Know I appreciate your work if you see this, and know that it will still go to use 100%.

You’ve got this bro! You’re capable of anything. You could move mountains! Make the priority a reality! The community needs this❤
  • 500 bucks is cheap lol. i am a 3d designer who works in landscaping ArchVis and my prices usually go from 1200-2500€ for medium sized projects, and thats just one property

I love the direction in which this game is going, keep it up :D
  • I think it would be cool to have a full customization system for players to make spells, but it would require a lot of effort in forsight and testing to prevent broken spell crafting

Damn I bet that fiver dude was extremely happy about this lmao, he got $500 to lay down some already made assets and foliage that you could've done in less than an hour

Every time I asked for service on Fiverr I wasn’t really 100% satisfied. Most of the time, people even had the willingness to fix the errors to be the way I asked for, but corrections wasn’t sooo corrected, so I kinda accepted it right away just to be able to finish the job myself as soon as possible 😅

Cool to see and amazing deal you got! I would have tried to pay someone to make a handful of unique models to your game and then pay this person 500 I think you would have loved it more with custom models

i watched this video thinking this is someone with 100k or around 500k subs then at the end i looked at your sub count 10K? holy you are underrated, the game looks fun and hope it will be good

Absolutely fire video as per usual

What exactly did you expect paying 1/3 of a monthly salary to a barely over minimum wage job to a person completing a task that for TEAMS it take months and even years.

fiverr is a scam, that's why i wouldn't buy there but nice video. your "i made an fps with no experience" was also good :) i'm on a similar journey, i just started really learning UE5 some days ago and spent some time hanging around in blender before. i was learning blender really slowly because i often didn't know where to start or where to go on. courses are very good for that but the best courses usually cost money and i didn't want to pay anything ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ meanwhile, i paid 25$ for a beginner fps course in UE5 and it's like 50 times faster. i learn in a day what i otherwise wouldn't have learned in 2 weeks
