  • the 400$ game would come with legal issues. since the dev just used investor template and synty models, if you get the source code, you don't have the rights to the synty models. uness you buy em $50 for synty models, 60$ for investor. and it could of been put together in a couple of hours.... for 400$ that's a HUGE rip off.

Man got scammed in the 80$ game and you can tell he is sad about it
  • @southypark101
That 400 dollar game is using all free assets and is just a bait lol
  • Funny seeing all these non devs or hobby devs commenting on the unfair prices, while any decent indie prototype can cost up to 200-250k$ easily. Maybe some are just templates put together, but that's still not considered expensive or a rip off. Sure, most of these didn't take more than a day, but for that price, anything is considered good.

The problem with the 400$ game is : He is using paid assets. If he gave you the project, you can use it. But to sell it, you need to buy the assets that he used. Since you don't have the licence for them (he has them, not you p-p such a trash project to sell, he didn't even modify some parts of the template he used)
  • @Ocer.
Aren't these supposed to be for you to continue development on?
  • The trees in the $400 game look like Pōhutukawa (or the New Zealand Christmas tree) because of the red flowers lol
  • @SecondsGuess
Awesome video! Your channel's future looks bright 🌟
  • @KaanErayAKAY
They're all scammers. 0% development skills. 100% assets. I bet they don't have a license.
  • The second one was actually good. Those things were at the spawn to make it easier to expand on the game

i love people here calling out scamming were i charge £25 per hour just on labour(and thats me being cheap). these where all good value for money spent, not as games but as prototypes to modify and add to. even the $35 one had more than it should. you got models, animations a base map and multiple weapons systems.

Don't give up on your youtube channel, I just found this video and I think it's pretty amusing. If you adjust your camera position, get decent lighting and a better mic, the quality of your videos will increase drasticly. On top of that you could speak up a little more and give your voice a motivating undertone. You already have the views, these things and a little bit of patience will give you the subs and likes <3

Very interesting video. What I learned from this, is when paying game developers, you should start small, and then pay for improvements and additional features. Do it in steps till you reach a place you are happy with. for me, the $400 game should be ranked the lowest. If you payed $400 to improve the $80 game, I think it would end up way better than the island ship game. (Which doesn't even have any enemy AI) same with the $30 if you gave him more to improve it.
