In this video, Abhi and Niyu discuss India's POVERTY trap. India needs 20 million jobs every year and we are only producing 5 million jobs. That means - 15 million people will be unemployed unless they become job creators themselves. But is being self employed, or being a business owner that easy in India? We spoke to people who earn 100 rupees per day and also to people who earn 100000 per day and figured out their problems. We bring to you - our documentary - India's poverty trap.

I belong to business family but my father never allowed me to join his business. I ended up joining MNC. It’s pathetic. India has deep socialist mindset. Making money is bad. 10 lakh people are sitting for 200-300 upsc jobs. I have utmost respect for entrepreneurs and deep contempt for Indian bureaucracy

I am the son of a business owner in Mumbai. Business is 40 years old and well established, still, my father didn't want me to continue with it and sent me to the USA for higher studies in 2015. I am in Toronto on PR and working for a US-based tech company but I still sometimes want to return to India and continue/grow my family business. But then I think about all the hassles my father faced due to corrupt bureaucracy and dropped the plan.

I am a son of a business owner in pune . growing up i have always seen my father working 16-18 hours a day . After my 10th i have been helping him too with our business . Our family have never actually spend any festival together whether it's diwali , holi or any wedding . It's always dukan first . My dad infact never had a sleep more than 5 hour's a day . Even after all this hardwork customer don't have a sense of appreciation for business owners .this makes my mom to force me to do a job rather than doing a business .

"The greatest achievement for an Indian is to leave India" Never understood this line until I had had my first earning.

Only 3 professions are most valued in India : 1. Politicians 2. Cricketers 3. Bollywood So its better to settle abroad...💯😇

firstly and most importantly . in school nobody teaches on how to do bussiness and how to manage your money and how to pay taxes . this is the base and Govt should build this

You did a great job, Abhi bhai ♥️. ThankYou for covering this topic. We need to shift our generation’s mindset. Instead of chasing jobs and wasting precious time, our first priority should be to become job creators. For beginners, here’s an important tip: if you don’t have enough money, start with a service based business instead of diving into a product-based one. Once you start earning, you can gradually move into the product business.

Next topic - why indian crorepati leaving india? Documentary on casteism in all india? Documentary on quality education on reasonable fees subsidy on university fee for economically weaker students Is the Skill census the solution to poverty
  • 13:36 Same thing Singapore first PM Lee kuan yew said about India, that "bureaucrats in india acts as regulator rather than facilitator. They considered businessman as looters, more if they are foreigners". That's why you can see the difference btw india & Singapore.

My Dad is a business man, I know very well how much hard work he did to start his business, most of all 1) collecting all these big documents 2) getting signatures of corrupt government officials on those documents 3) taking money and then paying them with signatures 4) Even if the government pays them, after the start of business, we pay them monthly (from peons to big officials, they are all corrupt people, they don't want to work, they just want money). 5) After the business starts, you have to find the market, customers 6) There is no source of money for at least 3 years rather you have to invest money yourself and there is no guarantee whether the business will be successful or not.

I'm from a business family. Thank you so so much for this video. When people see your business growing, they think we're using malpractices and always try to bring us down, even family/relatives do so.

Problem is government is not ready to take feedback, any feedback is considered as personal attack.

I started freelancing 2 years ago, and I quickly found out why foreign clients don't want to work with Indian people. The biggest problem is the payment. There are very less ways by which you can receive payments from foreign clients. And you can't keep that payment in USD or EUR, it will be converted automatically. There was so much bureaucracy when it comes to registering a business and opening a bank account. This process took me a couple of months and I had to visit the banks multiple times. Doing business in India is such a pain in the ass and I wish it was better.

    1. "Business me bohot paisa hai But reality is bohot paisa bohot kamm businesses me hai", baki saare businesses khoon-paseena ek krk ghiss rahe hai jaise taise ghar & dukaan chalane k liye 2. very hard to achieve time freedom, until the business become big enough to run automated. Poori ki poori genarations chali jayenge business ko passively run karne layak banane me. Ye do sabse bade reason hai. Profitability risk, compliance, taxes, ye sab jinke baare me hamesha baat hoti hai.. in reality ye toh sabse chote problems hai
