Being an atheist is the same as being gay in the Philippines. It is very hard to come out especially to your parents who are devoted.

Coming out as an atheist in the Philippines is almost unheard of. Filipinos are very religious people, but it bothers me that most people think that having no religion means I worship the devil or I'm just going through a bad time in my life. Having no religion is an option. I respect other people's belief, but why can't they respect mine? It's very frustrating.

We want to impose our beliefs and kept on arguing na ito dapat ang sundin and ito ang tama... Pero nakakalimutan natin na rumespeto, sa tao at sa kung ano mang pinaniniwalaan niya. If yun yung pinaniniwalaan niya, let it be. 👍🏻

The hard thing being an atheist and living with Catholic parents is that they make religion a chore.

This is what people needs to learn..how to converse properly without cursing and insulting other people cause they have a different beliefs or religion..in short we need "respect".. i hope the time would come that this world would be full of happiness and respect

My ex boyfriend was an atheist and I am a Catholic. He was so kind, loving, sweet and respectful. Sometimes we talked about my faith and how much I love God, he just listens and never judge. This video is really an eye-opener. Kudos to the team who created this.

So far, this is the most friendly debate I've ever watched.

I had been in a relationship wherein my partner's really religious. Everytime I did something wrong, he'll utter a lot of bible verses, in which doesn't truly help me. I tried to apply it into my life but it isn't working. One day, I've talked to him and this is what I exactly told him; "Sorry ____, but those bible verses wouldn't help me to change my life. And please stop convincing me to convert into your religion. Because for me, my relationship with God matters the most. As long as I can talk to Him, my faith is still there. I don't have to perform any activities that will "certify" me as a Catholic.. At the end of day, it's just me and God." Sadly, we broke up...

We can disagree with each other without being disagreeable to one another.
