My son went school with the son of one of the 3 Ladies who wrote this song. While she in the pick line to get her kids she writes songs. She lives in MASSACHUSETTS and goes to Nashville for a week to write songs and comes home. Got a GRAMMY for the song and a Grammy for "HUMBLE & KIND"

The first time I heard this song I said…”well, that’s gonna be a HUGE hit!” It ended up being Song of The Year. This song has everything! Musical arrangement, vocals and such a well written song that so many can relate to…yet then story is told in such a unique way. The LP release is even better.

Every time I hear her sing, the word "honey" comes to mind...I've heard about a singer having a "honeyed voice", and she seems to totally OWN that label!

This song is staggering to me! The melody is so simple and deep, and the lyrics are so powerful and sweet, and it all just meshes so perfectly. It just crushes your heart.

That simple guitar refrain feels like a callback to "Unchained Melody". I think this song really captures that sort of desperate high school crush feeling. Also reminds me of songs like "Jolene" where Dolly loves her man so much that she's begging Jolene not to steal him "just because you can".

Britt, by golly, you are always really quick to get the meaning. You also seem to appreciate all the little musical nuances that I do - like the guitar doing the muffled arpeggio - a la 1950's rock. Love it. Great reaction.

So glad you landed on this one; it's a great song. One of my other unconventional favorites from them is Better Man: "I still miss you, and I still wish you were a better man; I wonder what we would've become, if you were a better man." It hurts real good.

The way Little Bigtown Harmonizes is just incredible. Never heard a country band quite like them.

In my opinion, two of the best groups in country music are Rascal Flatts and Little Big Town. Definitely get into RF if you aren't familiar and more LBT! Nice react 😊
