  • This is a talk I've heard from you before, but the funny thing is we actually made a step to start cleaning up and cleaning out this week. The garage finally got on my last nerve. We live currently in my sister's house and technically her stuff, but it was time to have done with it. There was the old refrigerator that has been taking up space for three years now, an old grill that she hasn't used in !t least 6 years, a non-working snow blower that hasn't worked in probably 5 years, plus the remnants of two of our son's trashed bicycles hanging on the wall. One day last week, I told my wife that with it being spring now, I was going to catch one of the scrap metal collectors that drive around picking up scrap to sell to the junk yard locally to get rid of that old fridge. I had been waiting until we had a truck prepared to move soon to take it myself, but I lost my patience and thought why not just sow the seed into someone else's business. We did the same thing a couple of years ago with an old broken water heater, and it worked, we moved forward again that year. Literally the next day, we went to the grocery store and happened to park next to a truck that belonged to a scrap metal collector. I photographed the phone number on his back window, called him and made an appointment to come and collect that junk this past Wednesday. After that, I may have spent an hour reorganizing the stuff left in the garage and sweeping the debris from the floor. There is something so very satisfying about seeing the clutter before, and then the nice arrangement after it's all gone. I've been sitting here listening to this video again, mentally making notes of which area to tackle next and the logistics thereof to present it to my wife when she gets home from work later.
