He is not just saving MJ. He is saving another version of himself from all the pain he is still suffering from, after failing to save Gwen. He will probably never recover from that tragedy. But he will at least somehow find happiness knowing that in another world, there is another version of himself that never lost the woman he loves. This is one of the most beautiful moments in a superhero movie.

You can see all the ways he's thought about this dive. He shoots webs so he moves faster, he knocks stuff out of the way, he catches and cradles her body so the force dissapates. He's probably thought about this scenario so many times

00:54, never noticed it before but before he dives he shoots two webs to help propel himself downwards quicker, amazing touch to show all the times he thought about how he could've gotten to Gwen quicker
  • He finally made up for having failed to save Gwen all those years ago. He got to repeat the exact same scenario and got it right this time. So heartwarming❤

I saw in an interview Andrew Garfield said Zendaya improvised asking him if he was okay. He said it just felt right, that was important for him to assure all of us he was.

The heartbreak on his face is palpable. He knows now that he is capable of saving someone from a fall, and if he’d only done what he just did, Gwen would still be alive. 😭

the fact that TASM teared up when he caught mj, it reminded him on how much it hurt losing a loved one and how he wants to protect his fellow spider men, good one!

"Im ok" Those are the words he wanted to hear for so long.
  • Andrew Garfield is the best actor of This movie and he deserve to play Spiderman again with a decent director, production, script.

I feel bad for Andrew because in this movie he proved he can be an amazing Spiderman. Although his franchise didn’t do so great.
  • Got tears in my eyes every time I see his face in the moment he saved her…

Its scary really. His PTSD must have been real enough to where he must of ran through how he could of saved gwen more than a million times from going through his day to when he's sitting down on his bed at night. Than here he saves MJ, in that singular moment he sticks that landing must of helped him let go of all that despair and sorrow he carried. Than MJ asking him if he's okay after saving him, even though deep down he knows he isn't still reveals how much conviction and regret he brings to his heart. Its awesome that Andrew Garfield got to do this scene. Good stuff :)

“Can the Spider-Man come out to play?” Same line he used when he terrorized Aunt May

I never really liked Garfield as Spiderman or those movies but with this movie he actually won me over. Now I look at The Amazing Spiderman movies in an entirely different light.

He replayed that scenario MANY times in his head... He lived with the regret of making such a tiny mistake with such grave consequences... He basically lived for the moment to "make it right" and he didn't blow it... Yes it's just a movie, but moments like this, where you feel and understand the emotion being conveyed, are priceless, and I'm glad I got to experience it

It was supposed to be a canon event. But Andrew didn't let it slide😭

Cried like a baby first time seeing this in the cinema, to see him finally get his redemption was just something else😢
