Your filter should go on the inlet to keep the trash that gets through the input line from stopping the impeller binding up.

Awesome Video. I would have loved to watch you Prime The Pump....

If you get yourself some spare screens for that filter, then you just trade in the spare in when it needs cleaning. Let the dirty screen dry out, and it is then much easier to clean. I learned this from swimming pool pump strainers, which catch all kinds of sticky debris and hair, and are impossible to clean when wet. Improvise out of a dark sock, or metal foil, something to cover the clear filter bowl and keep it in the dark. Then it won't grow algae, but you can remove the sock momentarily when you need to inspect the filter.

Make a large Box filter then set the foot valve into the box filter.

I have the same pump and used it one hour and already overheated and not pumping water

Great set up. Where did you buy the filter?

Does the pump seem to hold a constant pressure while running. I’m planning on tapping it into my house water supply and using its as a booster type pump for my irrigation system.

great video! I bought an irrigation pump similar to yours to try this season for tge first time. I am planning to use it with an IBC tote and a rain barrel. I have a pump hose (1.5") to use with the tote, but I need to hook up a hose to connect with the rainbarrel spigot. I am new to this.. I only have 5/8" garden hoses. Do I need to use 3/4" or 1" hose for the inlet/suction side? I bought a 5/8" braided tubing and 3/4" female garden hose fittings, but I have no idea if this is okay for the pump. I would appreciate your advice..! Thank you.

Or you can just take a flat screwdriver like I do and spin the motor in the end. 😊😊😊

Does it hold a prime for days? Or do you have to prime each time you use it?
  • Have you connected a garden hose to it Andbpump? I have a wayne PLS 100 toboost my 4040 RO takes incoming Psi tap and boosts at least 50 Pau so can get 100/120 PSI. Have you used as a boosted tap water connection?

That screen is supposed to be on the intake side!
