You are one smart dude!! That is really a neat build for saving a lot of thumb and wrist injury. The wrong way is to use a direct drive drill . When the engine starts, it will take the drill beyond the rpm and thumb and hand with it. Thankyou for thinking safety.
-
That would be real good for everybody if everybody had a welding machine lol appreciate you showing us though

Ratcheting Breaker Bar Adapter
-
tim thanks very much for that !

I'm glad I watched this. I have a high compression engine 100cc I am going to attempt to start tomorrow with a angle drill. I will rig up the same set up as you as I dont need any broken bones right now
-
The last time I tried welding was my freshman year in HS. 1977. I see a $$$$ opportunity for someone that wants to build this and sell it. Someone build one and place the link in a comment, and I'll order one. :-)

But how does it clutch to freewheel? Does the started gear have a one way deal inside the bearing looking part? Or does it just cam out like the bendix normally does when using a starter like with the spring and all..?
-
Awesome video, I wasn’t quite sure just how that would work till I watched vid a couple times. Got a question, I believe that is a 3/8” drive extension, can you tell me the length of that? I’m assuming 6 or 8 inches. Thank you much.
-
Expensive ratchet!!! Wow There is a $10 ratchet component that goes between the engine socket and the drill.
-
Why not cut the extension in half & weld each to both ends so ya won't need to sacrifice a large socket?
-
Welding the washer on to retain the coil of wire is not necessary as the extension is already welded at the gear end.
-
, PLEASE and thank you. I would like the link and, or the part# for the small motor starter kit
-
I'm curious, what is the pvc pipe for? Genny power cord or something else?
-
Is this much better than the Rachet adapter!!!!! Will this work counter clockwise starting????
-
darn its gone from eBay. Do you know of any commercial products like this?
-
is this for a clockwise rotation engine??
-
put a free wheel sprocket
-
Can we buy from you?

Why can't anyone give the starter Drive number? .... I have gotten 3 & they were all for different cars & I have purchased one for the vehicle I was told would work .... They all worked the opposite way! ... Why is this so hard ????
