The Inderbinen Wood Flugel uses the traditional trumpet horizontal slides and it is considered the best in the world.

A tie between the Coueson and the Schilke, with the former being slightly warmer and the latter being slightly more flexible.

Lovely sounds! I quite like the air you're getting in the sound from the DEG, but that Couesnon is the one I like the best. Your new mic makes these horns sound clearly different; I didn't get that so much from the first shootout. I've got a Blessing XL with trumpet-style valves, but I'm not hearing what I want from it. I'm tempted to try the Thomann FH900J.

Sounds great! What is that song btw? I keep hearing ppl play it on flugel vids. Just took my Couesnon to the shop. It says 1900 on the bell and a number 9 on it below the address. Not sure what that means but it toots!
  • With the problem on the Schikle, you said you were not using the proper lead pipe. If you have not already, maybe you should, and see if your intonation improves. Keep on with the videos. Regards John.
  • Aha the caravelle is similar to my Getzen😅the first valve on mine is terrible 😂😂and it has that trumpet middle tubing (definitely gives it a flugel-trumpet cross sound)
