In this video I review the live-action adaptation of the video game movie Tekken and groan at all the terrible creative liberties they took.

  • “Katsuhiro Harada hated it” “Didn’t even have creative inputs” -Sequel is somehow worse than the movie. -Gets the lore of the source material VERY wrong. As someone who’s also a pjo fan this is oddly familiar.
  • I can see why they thought the supernatural aspect of the tekken franchise added to its absurdity, rather then its intrigue.

I agree with you there Jin's only goal at the tournament was to get revenge he stops at nothing They couldn't even get this right BC they wanted Romance and making out scenes in a TEKKEN MOVIE OMG 🤮🤮

This movie was a 31% on Rotten Tomatoes and the average was 2.68/10. Had terrible casting, movie mistakes, didn’t relate too much to the game, characters were overall messed up, most importantly there was no Japanese spoken in this movie. This movie needs to be rebooted one way or another and have better scripting and casting. And also to include the Devil Gene plot in there.

oh so they got Shang tsung to play heihachi & Scorpion as kazuya-- kinda cool
  • @KenMasters.
To explain, the movie was on a budget (which is only big enough to afford the whole roster of TK4) because they couldn't afford certain major roles for Tekken Fighters, ones such as: • Lee Chaolan = His plot was put into Kazuya (who's actor should've played Law instead) which is why he is a pretty-boy who works with Heihachi and later betrays him, and it's also why he did a ménage à trois with the Williams Sisters. • JACK = One of the Tekken Fighters from Russia that would take CGI to bring to life, but they instead made them loosely based on the Tekken Force from the games, they're called "Jackhammers" in this film. • The biggest fault behind this is that they'd rather waste the budget on some of the cast members that shouldn't matter in this lame version of TK, particularly Miguel, Jun, Yoshimitsu, Dragunov, and Steve because they were the most unnecessary in the movie compared to the others.

Never let anyone make a movie for Tekken again except if it's well made and accurate to the game lore

I have never seen the Tekken live action movie and I don't plan on watching it because I know it'll be another trashy video game movie. It looks like a porn parody tbh 🤣 this review was hilarious
