Seoul has excellent public transport, but when you're traveling with big/many luggages, with elderly people or small kids, or in a group of 3 or 4 people, or a combination of either, for shorter distance amounting up to KRW 6,000-10,000 sometimes it is more convenient and almost the same or cheaper (total fare divided by number of people) to take taxi vs bus/subway

If possible, use a public transport, because in Korea it is so good and easy to use, that there is no need to use a taxi :) In many cases it can be faster to use a metro anyway, because no traffic jams :)

If you have more than two big cases be aware most medium taxis have a huge LPG tank in the boot so not much space. If your lucky you might get an electric taxi which has loads of room for luggage.

Thanks for all the informations I've been catching from your vlogs. I'm preparing now for my trip, end of this month. Quite nervous as I'm a solo senior traveller and first timer to Korea. Hope everything goes well.

Hi! This video was really helpful, I’m planning to go to South Korea on November but can I use Kakao T in Busan as well? 😊 greetings from Mexico.
-
I used Kakao T whilst in SK. Was so easy to use. Taxis turn up very quickly.

This is super helpful! Are all the taxis the same size? I want to visit and wondering if I have a couple people with me and several luggage would require me to call 2 different taxis or do I have the option or request for a bigger taxi.
