  • What's the point of serving 24 years in the guard if you duck your deployment? That adds up to a grand total of ZERO years of ACTUAL service.

Walz got out of the ARMY during the stop-loss era. NO ONE was allowed to retire during this time period. It doesn't matter what rank you were, or if you were eligible for retirement. Stop-loss completely negated that. The fact that he was able to ETS regardless shows how privileged and well connected he was. About 90% of my unit was stop lossed during 2005 all the way through the time I got out in 2009. We didn't have the luxury of "deciding we were going to retire." Also the National Guard isn't even real military service regardless, so please stop respecting his "24 years of service." When finally had the chance to actually serve he chose to get out.
  • I get Walz but he is lying. It’s an amazing feeling to make rank. He “made” it but didn’t comply with the requirements. So…basically like getting an awesome job offer but not taking it and saying you had the job. Word play

Italy is a duty station. "Deploying" to NTC at Ft. Irwin, CA is 100x closer to an actual deployment overseas than Italy. Seriously
  • read starship troopers sometime. It is a short novel. Walz wouldn't have earned citizenship.
  • Go read the Marijuana legalization bill that passed, about 3/4 down he snuck in bills that hurt the poor, working class and elderly. Not a peep mentioned in any news outlet.

Lol I'm not sending a superchar ever again. It never gets read.
  • @StoovTV
Tim I can respect that you are willing to give Waltz the benefit of the doubt but c'mon. It would be one thing if he got out and just... never talked about it. Sure, it was an illustrious career and he did it for a long time but getting out that way... Not exactly a mark of bravery. But no, this guy embellishes and insinuates that he was on the battlefield. Now I am not a combat vet so its not my place to call foul or stolen valor. I'll leave that to my betters. The point is though when things got dicey he fled.

Worse than you think. He was a deserter. Someone else had to go in his place.

Is Joey Mannarino rocking a toupee? His hairline is looking a bit off in the front, something isn’t right.

I’ve noticed so far, a lot of journalists not pressing down on how Harris would handle Russia, China , and Iran, let alone how to deal with the Border- Nothing of a mention 🇺🇸

For the record: No American citizen can legally own an M4. Fact. You might want to quibble about M-16 variants. Irrelevant to the point. The most common infantry issue while I was serving was the M4. Thus, it should be the equivalent mitlitamen's carbine, legal to purchase, own, and carry, by the average law-abiding American citizen. However, it is literally illegal for any American citizen to purchase one. Period. There are no exceptions. The AR-15 is not the same. If you want to make it the "same" it is still not the same, and requires multiple legal hoops and extra expenses to even get close to the inferior carbine that I once carried as a duty weapon. Facts.

What kind of senior NCO quits right before his unit deploys to war?
