A local furniture charity here in the UK has 2 prices, one for anyone on benefits and one for everyone else. That helps those who genuinely need the charity, able to still afford it. Their normal prices are still very reasonable.

I had no idea about the lane chest lock recall thing. Thanks for informing me lol We purchased one about a year ago and it does in fact occasionally lock itself when it closes. ๐ฌ Thankfully no children in our household so no threat for us there. But I did just a brief search on the recall and it seems Lane will send you a replacement lock for free. Something to consider for you if you want to try to replace a lock and fix up a lane chest to resell. The one you saw and showed us in this video is a total mcm dream . Beautiful square lines no frills very accessible for today's home furnishings I think. BTW love the thrift with me videos!! Keep up the great work!

Agree that thrift stores have gotten ridiculous with their prices...and I see the same pieces sitting in some of my thrift stores for MONTHS, yet they won't bring the prices down.
