At 6:55 pm Thursday it's at 125K acres. Started by Dean Stout, a felony child sex offender, felony kern county robbery and now his third strike of felony arson.

My son has been reassigned to this fire, from another fire where he was directing operations. He will lead about 300 on the ground.

Amazing that the housing market up and down HWY 49 hasn't collapsed by 60%. I would rethink any plan to buy a home in the foothills or higher up unless you can afford to shell out 10K or more per year for fire insurance.
