if it doesn't spin freely, that sounds like they have a higher resistance which would rather cost watts. But actually it got completely destroyed by Peak Torque and Hambini

As a mechanical engineer and avid cyclist, it hurts to see these on the market. Hambini and PT are indeed correct in which friction drag is greater when placing ball bearings further from the inner race centerline. In other words, more torque is required to turn a large bearing than a small one.

I could never spend that much money on bling. My waxed chain is quieter than even that with stock ultegra components AND it saves more watts than an OSPW could ever do. $700 is absolute insanity if it was $70-$100 may be as a way to make the bike unique but that’s just nuts

If you’re going slow enough to hear your chain maybe you shouldn’t worry about buying a 700$ pulley wheel system

bike industry is going same way as hifi audio industry. Same thing as selling 5000$ power cable, that is doing the same job as 10$, its just all about the looks

Hey man I do appreciate your honesty in the reviews saying that you bought it for looks first! Still on the fence that OSPW is a waste of money, but your test definitely show that it's quiet! Would love to see an update down the road after you've ridden then more and if there's any reduction in the sound dampening.

As an engineer, performance is measure in watts, not by sound, so I'd love something scientific actually tested.
