Sources said the woman was in an area at Terminal 5 that the public cannot access—but her presence there would not be considered a security breach, because it did not take place in a high security area. Suzanne Le Mignot reports.

🙁😥 IMO, finding a non-employee dead in an area where only employees frequent should immediately prompt an investigation. God Bless! 🙏❤️🇺🇸

I guess that answers the question we all had as kids as to whether you could ride the conveyor…

World is so crazy right now, first thing that popped into my head is that she was trying to steal from the suitcases before owners can pick it up and accidentally died.

What was that word salad the airport gave on it being "a non-restricted restricted area?" It sounds like an older lady was lost and the airport had dangerous machinery in a publicly accessible area.

My guess is she was flying United and just refused to get back on that dang plane.
  • I'd worked at airports for nearly a decade and have witnessed people having seizures or fainting forward onto luggage conveyers. Straps and clothing get caught between the plates and they do laps. It's likely she was searching for missing luggage and something like this occurred. In a restricted but unpatrolled area she likely died and did laps for hours.

Somebody put her in there to cover up their crimes 😢

Wow, THAT is NOT what I want to pick up off the belt. Maybe she is one of those that didn't want to wait for her bag. There WILL be an investigation for those below posting with caps and exclamation points. It's just not under the airport's jurisdiction.
