QUICK AND TO THE POINT. The Series X/S controller can experience stick drift when one or more of the analog sticks have problems, causing characters in games to move on their own. Usually it's because debris gets inside the analog stick

I'd like to thank you for the video. Method 6 worked for me as the part where the ring touches had a tiny stain and I managed to clean it. No more drift in my Xbox Wireless Controller. Thanks to such a detailed and informative video. Straight to the point, no bs talk.

Method 6 was the winner. I didn't want to have to get so far into the guts of the analog assembly, but ultimately it was worth it. Thanks for the motivation!
  • Thank you for such a simple yet detailed video. I had to go all the way inside my controller and have never done something quite like this before. The controller works good as new now. 👍
  • Thanks for the detailed video mate. Very direct and no clickbaiting. My left analog stick on my xbox one s controller was really bad. My character kept moving by themselves in games and were literally unplayable. So today I decided to open and fix it. I run through the comments before trying and saw a lot of people saying method 6 worked, so after trying the other methods I did method 6 and it worked!! The green plastic thing was really dirty. But only one of them. I had some trouble putting one of them back in place and had to cut the bottom peg. Then I tried it on gamepad tester, no more drift. And then went in game to test, and still no drift. So thank you again!! 😂

You're a lifesaver, I did all the first 6 fixes and now it works like new, thank you!
  • Found this on a random internet search. Gotta say. It worked. Step 5. There was a little piece on the stick that was protruded just enough to make it stick while moving up and down. Took it out. No more problems. Thanks. Great visuals and guidance here

I tried every step, 6 was the one that finally worked. Blowing didn’t, tapping on the back didn’t, cleaning out the inside stick didn’t, but prying apart that little green cap and cleaning the entire inside of that area(the white part mostly) actually did the trick, and the controller had no damage thanks to your cautious process. Thanks a ton dude, saved me 60 bucks because I was ready to just buy a new one!!! Also I felt really good after I got it to work, felt like a true tech nerd!
  • I'm beyond belief, for once a YT tutorial actually worked and I appreciate the work you put into it, I personally am grateful for ur hard work Thank you.
  • Thanks for this! The step by step tutorial was very easy to follow! I did try it, but unfortunately I was not able to fix my controller. It was worth a shot, though, as it was already unusable. But would definitely recommend your video for anyone needing to get inside their controller.
  • Bro, i literally used the first two methoda and voilá it fixed it. Ive done the hard way in the oast and yours is the first and best video ive seen showing all ways to fix it with logical thinking and clear and precise instructions both audible and visual.
  • @volx-5465
Thank you dude, took the risk and after days of trying I finally found a fix. All I can do is thank you for making this amazing tutorial. Much love brother 🙏

Thank you very much for this video. The method 6 worked perfectly. I had a massive drift with left stick (only up and down directions). The methods before 6 unfortunatelly didnt help out in my case. The drift is now completely gone. Once again thanks for very detailed video. Nice of you to explained the tabs and pegs, that really helped out when trying to pry it open.

PHENOMINAL VIDEO!!! Had a drift on my left analog stick and had tried everything up to step 5. Went to step 6 and it fixed it like a charm. Great video. Be sure you guys are using the right tools, be patient with yourself if it's your first time working inside a piece of hardware, and try not to rush through this to get back to your gaming faster. Just follow these instructions and your chances of saving yourself $60 will go up
  • I was able to fix my Aqua Shift controller with this tutorial, method 6 did it in the end. Thank you so much for putting this together, it is truly a service to the gaming community. Liked and subbed!
  • Wow thank you so much. My character was just randomly going up and I couldn't do anything about it. Then I saw your video. Step 1 fixed it. I was like "no way some debry just got into my controller" but it actually worked.
  • @SQ-dd8ex
I love and appreciate how this instructional video goes from 0-100 level tier repairs. Awesome content man.
  • Thank you for the amazing tutorial. I couldn't proceed past method 5 because the torque screwdrivers were too large but I fixed it with method 4.5. Removing the side thingies and blowing into the controller through the new openings.
  • @S1linkey
A combination of method 5 & 6 helped me solve this problem. Thank you from the bottom of my heart brother, you saved me a lot of money!
