  • "You're just dating it for a little while, you don't have to marry it."Now that's a great sales line. Nice job Pat! Thanks for introducing EVs to ICE drivers. ⚡
  • Even a pretty bad car is worthwhile at under $1000 for 2 years
  • Hardly surprising, Nissan had a golden chance to set themselves up then totally ignored the development of the car for most of its life. The charging tech is 10 years out of date! The Leaf is a great EV, but only if you can charge at home/work for 90% of your driving needs
  • @560val
This is insane. I wish i lived in colorado for this deal.
  • Ok let's do some math. Let's say you are commuting right now in a truck that gets 20 MPG. Your round trip commute is 40 miles/day, 5 days/week. That is 200 miles per week, about 800 miles per month (that keeps you under the 10k per year too). At 20 MPG that is 40 gallons of gas. At $3.30 per gallon that is $132 per month. Let's assume that the leaf will get about 4 miles/kWh so that is 200 kWh. At $0.12 per kWh that is $24 per month. So $132 - $24 -$40 (total lease cost per month) you are getting paid $68 per month to drive a new car and not put all those miles on your truck. Maybe that savings evaporates with insurance, but then saving on the maintenance of the truck will balance that out too. This is an absolute no-brainer for someone in that situation.
  • @Kyle @Outofspec - Y'all gotta get some nationwide deals like this! We're missing out.
  • These deals are just insane, I wish they were available in Canada
  • The lowest price of a new LEAF I seen was $10,000 in CA when they when from MK1 to MK2 car but you where buying the car
  • Great value car. I got mine 4yrs ago and wouldn’t look back. Certainly not $20 a month tho! Saved me a fortune in fuel and less headaches maintaining. Unless you drive like you stole it, you’d probably not need to change the tyres on that deal.
  • I tried a Nissan leaf 2020 for about a week and I loved the car but I didn't go through with the purchase because it's so stupid that it uses a outdated fast charging port (Chademo) and the there is no real battery cooling system. I live in a hot summer part of California and the battery was almost always near the first red marker and if I even thought about fast charging it the battery would immediately go to the red zone and the charge rate would drop to 20 kwh or even lower . For the price the regular leaf goes at you might as well look for a Chevy bolt that'll be cheaper and you'll get much more range. The base model leaf should have at least 200 miles of range imo.
  • 2 years from now in Ft Collins there will be a bunch of cheap, used Leafs for sale.
  • I have a Wall Connector, Incould get an adapter and just drive this to work and back. Alas I’m in Michigan but I’ll have to look at what they cost here.
  • Tempting. Nicer than my 2016 Leaf -- butt ugly but still very functional. Imported to BC used from California in 2019. Still gets about 95 miles (85 in winter in Vancouver). 99% of my charging is done at home with the Leaf's 110v portable charger connected to a heavy extension cord. The northwest and the lower 1/2 of BC still has tons of Chademo available. We take it from Vancouver to Whistler for skiing each year, with a 30 minute charging stop in Squamish on the way there. Two 30 minute charging breaks get us to Seattle. We got it with 20,000km on it and now we're at 55,000km. With the right weather I figure the Leaf is a great car despite not having modern battery management. My brother-in-law has the identical car imported at the same time with similar experience.
  • Jordan needs one for a camera/drone car 🚙
  • This would be perfect for Grandma. Will the Colton video with this be next?
  • This is good advice. get more cars sold and keep the dealers honest.
